Blogger and journalist Paul Asher returns home from covering the war in Afghanistan and finds his life is falling apart. His marriage is failing and he’s in the grips of a personal crisis he doesn’t yet understand. Even more pressing, a solider that Paul befriended in Afghanistan is struggling with PTSD and Paul is desperately trying to help him. But Paul’s work life takes a strange twist when he’s offered an interview that he finds impossible to resist – an interview with someone who claims to be God.
Drawn to the interview in the way any journalist might be, with curiosity and ambition, Paul also comes armed with the faith of a true believer and a journalist’s sharp intellect. But Paul soon learns that this will be no ordinary encounter, and he quickly finds his own life and faith under the microscope in challenging, and even unsettling, ways.
Part intrigue, part battle of wills, the film unfolds as a gripping character mystery. As the interviews progress, we soon learn the secret nature of Paul’s crisis and why the Almighty might be there. The story climaxes with a shocking revelation that leads to reconciliation and renewal.
